AXA Investment Managers invests more than $177 million in 12 weapons companies on the BDS divestment shortlist. The companies include BAE Systems, Boeing, Caterpillar, General Dynamics, Honeywell International, L3Harris, Leonardo, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Oshkosh, Rolls-Royce, and Textron. This investment data was compiled prior to the acquisition in an analysis that focused on insurance companies’ connections to weapons companies involved in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

The global Stop AXA Assistance to Israeli Apartheid campaign has targeted AXA since 2016, demanding AXA divest from weapons manufacturer Elbit Systems and major Israeli banks that finance illegal settlements. AXA divested from its investments in Elbit Systems at the end of 2019. Between 2022 and 2024, AXA divested from five major Israel banks, including Mizrahi Tefahot Bank, First International Bank of Israel, Bank Hapoalim, Israel Discount Bank, and Bank Leumi.
