Adamson Police Products, headquartered in Livermore, Calif., is a privately-owned distributor of law enforcement equipment. It was founded as Professional Police Supply Inc in 1980 by owner Jim Cunningham and currently has three brick-and-mortar retail locations: in Livermore and Los Alamitos, Calif., and Frederick, Colo. The company generates an estimated $1.13 million in annual revenue.

Adamson's catalog for police departments offers firearms, including military-grade rifles, ammunition, less-lethal weapons, "combat proven" robots, and thermal imaging tools. Adamson emphasizes the military use of some of its products. For example, on its website, Adamson markets the Sig Sauer M18 handgun as "chosen by the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Military, now available to you for the first time."

Of the 83 California law enforcement agencies in our database, 42 have purchased a total of $1.4 million worth of weapons and equipment from Adamson. This makes Adamson the third-highest earning company in our dataset, after Lenco and LC Action Police Supply. Adamson has also provided equipment and uniforms to police and prison agencies in Colorado, Montana, Nevada, and New Mexico.

Sales to police departments have commonly included Colt, Daniel Defense, Sig Sauer, and Smith & Wesson firearms, as well as a wide range of less-lethal weapons manufactured by, for example, CSI, Defense Technology/Safariland, and United Tactical Systems/PepperBall.
