Jacobs Engineering Group Inc is a multinational professional services company, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with over 55,000 employees, more than 140 subsidiaries, and clients in over 40 countries. It reported an annual revenue of $13.6 billion in 2020, 33% of which was earned directly or indirectly from agencies of the U.S. federal government.

The company has provided cybersecurity services to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). In 2017, Jacobs Engineering acquired Blue Canopy, a leading provider of cybersecurity, data analytics, and other information technology (IT) solutions for government military, intelligence, and civilian agencies. At the time of acquisition, Blue Canopy held a contract with ICE, worth $3.4 million, to provide the agency with a "big data environment." The contract ran until 2018.

Other Controversies

Since 2008, Jacobs Engineering has held over 2,500 contracts with the Department of Defense, worth around $1.14 billion.

In 2021, the company was awarded a contract to support the planning, design, and construction of facilities and infrastructure for the B-21 Raider stealth bomber. The B-21—under development for the U.S. Air Force by Northrop Grumman, with an expected delivery date in the mid-2020s—is a high-tech stealth bomber designed to travel long distances and carry both conventional and nuclear weapons.

Jacobs Engineering also provides software engineering for the Air Force C-17 Fleet, made up of large military transport aircraft.
