A private Israeli company that makes drones for the Israeli and US Xtend

XTEND Reality Expansion Ltd, a.k.a. XTEND Reality Inc, a.k.a. XTEND Defense is a privately-owned Israeli company that specializes in developing small first-person view (FPV) drones for military applications. The company's drone operating system integrates virtual reality and artificial intelligence technologies that enable anyone to fly them with little to no training. The company's drone models include the Wolverine, Griffone, Xtender, and Scorpio. The latter has attack capabilities as a loitering munitions ("kamikaze") drone.

The Israeli military has been using Xtend's drones during its 2023-2025 genocidal was on Gaza. According to the company's CEO, Israel has been using Xtend drones for a variety of purposes: "Some go into tunnels, while others can penetrate windows and explore building interiors, and other aircraft are equipped with robotic arms that carry a small payload, such as a small sticky explosive that can blow open a door and fly and drop grenades."

The U.S. military's Special Operations Command (SOCOM) was Xtend's U.S. first large client. In 2025, the company was awarded an $8.8 million contract by the Department of Defense Irregular Warfare Technical Support Directorate for “Precision Strike Indoor & Outdoor,” most likely a variant of Xtend's Scorpio 500 drone. The drones will be manufactured in Tampa, Florida, the company's U.S. headquarters.
