A Belgian multinational chemical company whose products were used in the construction of a water system for illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank.
According to Who Profits, products manufactured by Solvay were used at the construction site of the Bardala bypass pipeline—a project of Israel's national water company Mekorot—in the occupied West Bank. The pipeline transports water from underground sources in the Palestinian village of Bardala to nearby illegal Israeli settlements for drinking and agricultural use. The project prevents Palestinian residents of Bardala from accessing their own water sources. Exploiting natural resources of an occupied territory for civilian use is forbidden under international law.
