A private US manufacturer of military vehicles that have been used by the Israeli military in the Gaza genocide.

AM General, based in South Bend, Indiana, is a manufacturer of military-grade tactical vehicles. Since 2020, it is owned by private equity firm KPS Capital Partners.

The company's High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV or Humvee) has been one of the main tactical vehicles used by the Israeli military since the mid-1990s. In the Israeli military and media, it is misnamed "Hummer," as the civilian version that is not made by AM General. However, Israel's version has always been the military-grade Humvee made by AM General.

The Israeli military has used Humvees in its 2023–2025 genocidal war on Gaza. For example, on November 5, 2023, the Israeli military reportedly used Humvees, accompanied by tanks and other armored vehicles, to lead a "supply convoy" into Gaza. Humvees were also used to transport Israeli media correspondents into Gaza.

On December 6, 2023, a U.S. cargo plane delivered additional Humvees to Israel.

In July, 2025, the Israeli military ordered hundreds of additional Humvees, valued at approximately $150 million (NIS 500 million).

AM General also manufactures the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, in addition to Oshkosh.
