A US insurance provider that insures several weapons companies on the BDS divestment shortlist.
American International Group, abbreviated as AIG, is a large multinational insurance provider.
AIG provides employer’s liability insurance to Maersk, Northrop Grumman, Rolls-Royce, and L3Harris in the U.K., according to an analysis that studied the connections between insurance companies and companies involved in the Gaza genocide. It is possible that AIG provides other types of insurance to these companies, but that information is not publicly disclosed.
AIG’s board of directors includes Linda A. Mills, the former corporate vice president of operations at Northrop Grumman.
